I believe that this quote means that you shouldn't just shoot for the award you should do what’s right and if what’s right gives you an award then great. This quote says a lot in many ways and can be interpenetrated in many ways too. Dean Smith was a man that was wonderful because he did everything that he could. most people now a days don’t care there in it for the reward.an example may be when someone tries out for a sport, they might do it  to help out his or her school but in the end they get scholar ships ,that means it wasn’t a  vision in the past it’s something that they did right that benefited them in the long run. Dean seemed as if he was the man that was always humble and in my perspective those are honestly the people who we need more .
